Owner and Builder
Meet Jack Brandon! Born and raised right here in Wrightsville Beach, NC, Jack has seen a lot of local growth and expansion over the years – particularly in the neighborhoods the Brandon Construction team is building in. As a result, Jack knows the area very well and can offer great insight into the ups (and downs) of every local neighborhood.
Jack grew up in and around the real estate industry. His father – and most significant role model and mentor – has been one of Wilmington’s top-producing real estate agents for over 20 years!
Before founding Brandon Construction Group, Jack worked for Barker & Canady Custom Homes, a local custom home builder. There, Jack honed his skills as a Project Manager, an experience that equipped him with immeasurable hands-on education and experience in the home-building industry. Now, Jack’s mission with BCG is to make clients’ dreams a reality by creating quality-built homes to live, love, and grow in.
Jack has always had an entrepreneurial spirit. At only 16, he started his first company, specializing in media marketing and real estate photography and videography, a business that is still operational and successful today!
Director of Operations
Meet Denise Anastasio! Hailing from northeastern Pennsylvania, she graduated from Penn State University with a BA in Communications/Television Broadcasting. After graduation, she promptly headed to New York City to work in the fashion industry for over 20 years as a Director of Sales at Liz Claiborne, 9 West, Calvin Klein, and Ralph Lauren.
Denise is very much a “people person,” with strong communication skills, a friendly demeanor, and a lot of patience! She loves tooling around in her ’82 Jeep CJ7, spending long days at the beach, cooking up a storm, and cuddling up with her husband, Steven, and her sweet cat, Lucy.
Steven and Denise moved to Wilmington, NC three years ago, in search of sand and sun. Here, they built their first home (after living in a 700-square-foot NYC apartment for 20 years!). The building process piqued Denise’s already enthusiastic interest in home design, and she soon started working as an Assistant Design Director at Trusst Builder Group. For the next three years, Denise was very happy helping clients design the homes of their dreams and learning much about design and construction!
Then she met Jack, and the rest is history…Denise is thrilled to be getting in on the ground floor of Brandon Construction Group as a Director of Operations and looks forward to many years of success.
Home Sales and Design Coordinator
Meet Stephanie Spencer! Born in Goldsboro, NC, her love for looking at houses and the building process started when she was young – about 11 years old. In 1994, Stephanie’s parents decided to build their own home. After searching for the right spot and purchasing a lot, they designed and built the house Stephanie grew up in.
She proceeded to study interior design at East Carolina University. During college, Stephanie also worked as an assistant to a civil engineer in Goldsboro, NC. Working with MicroStation, she helped design large subdivisions, parking lots, and stormwater systems. The company also did lots of work for the Department of Transportation.
In 1962, Stephanie’s grandparents purchased a lot on Oak Island – which has been her family’s home-away-from-home her entire life. Stephanie absolutely adored it…the ocean, the location, everything! Over the years, she has collected countless wonderful memories of vacationing on Oak Island with her loved ones.
There’s simply nowhere else she’d rather be! That’s why she just HAD to move to Oak Island permanently in 2009.
With substantial experience with the home-building process, Stephanie understands the stress that comes with building. Luckily, she is eager to help alleviate that stress for BCG clients, always willing to share her knowledge and expertise.
“I love helping folks achieve their hopes and dreams of home ownership,” Stephanie said. “I’m a big advocate for building. If you’re going to make an investment as large as homeownership, make sure you’re getting what you want and deserve!”
Project Manager
Meet Ben Diggan! Ben grew up in a hard-working construction family in central Pennsylvania and learned a handful of skills from a young age. He spent most of his youthful summers constructing block basements with his grandfather, learning how to be a mason. Later in his teen years, he then helped to construct houses with his uncle which is where he learned most of his other skills in construction.
Much like Denise, Ben has relocated here from Pennsylvania after graduating from Elizabethtown College with a B.A. in Communications. Struggling to find a steady job during Covid, he decided to continue with his education attending Capella University to attain an M.B.A in human resources and management.
Being a very “easy going” person, he quickly realized his skills and education didn’t seem to fit in the corporate office lifestyle and he decided to go back to what he knows best! Construction! Utilizing the skills from his youth and his education, Jack brought Ben on as project manager to help the flow of construction on custom homes go smoothly.
Building houses for homeowners isn’t “work” for Ben, he looks at it as a chance to help them build a space for memories that will last a lifetime. Ben is extremely excited to be Jack’s project manager and second full time employee and looks forward to the future to see where he can help this company grow.
